Enjoy multiple desserts to your hearts content. This is the 'sweetest' fundraiser of the year. Every year Sunset Rotary selects a different charity to partner with to provide an enjoyable time, while raising funds for good causes. Last year we raised enough money to purchase a much needed portable ventilator for Morongo Basin Ambulance.

Come out on a crisp December evening to enjoy the light parade held every December in conjunction with the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce.. Santa will be on hand for the kids. This fun family community event will warm your heart and soul.

February 10 , 2024
Contestants go through an intense four month training period. Shadowing female business leaders in the Morongo basin. Volunteering at community events. Learning leadership skills and poise. Writing essays of their experiences
$2000.00 scholarship is awarded to the 2024 Queen $1,500 scholarship is awarded to the first princess Sponsored by Gubler Orchids. The 2nd Princess receives a $1,000 scholarship.

Morongo Basin Orchid Festival
October 5 & 6, 2024
Over a dozen various charitable organizations benefit from the annual festival which has raised a over $38,000.00 last year. A fun-filled weekend that helps bring all the desert communities together.
The Festival offers free greenhouse tours, orchid classes, an judged orchid show, wine and cheese tasting, craft beer , games for the kids, good food, live entertainment and music. Bring your friends and enjoy the fun!

Helping Marine Families
50 Holiday Baskets for Marine Families.

The 29 Palms Marine Base is the pride of the Morongo Basin. Many Marine families are separated from their loved ones while on duty overseas. Sunset Rotary plays a small part in helping these families have a brighter Christmas. Hams, mashed potatoes, assorted veggies, fruits, and of course a desert are distributed to families through the help of the Armed Services YMCA just before the Christmas Holiday.

We are planning a Fellowship trip down to the wine country of Temecula. This is an RV experience at Pachanga resort, Hotel accommodations available for those non RV members. We have a special seafood broil and share stories and good times.
