In Spirit of the Orchid Festival –
Brews, Blooms and Barbecue Fundraising Event
Joshua Tree Brewery, Gubler Orchids, Bruce’s Place and Yucca Valley Sunset Rotary will be holding the first ever Brews, Blooms and Barbecue at the Joshua Tree Brewery Friday October 2 from 4-7pm and Saturday October 3 from 11am – 3pm. To stay within the State requirements of Social Distancing this event will be a drive thru service held at Joshua Tree Brewery 6393 Sunset Road, Joshua Tree, CA. This fundraiser will help a few local non-profits who have been having a difficult time staying afloat during the pandemic. Dario Guerra, master brewer, spearheaded the idea to create a mini festival. Guerra said, “We have an opportunity to make a difference when so many events have been canceled that help our community.”
During this drive through event individuals will be able to purchase canned beer and growlers from the Brewery. Including the famous Sherry Baby Beer released at last year’s Orchid Festival made from the Sherry Baby orchid. Other beer flavors will also be available for purchase. To eat, Bruce’s Place will be catering the event with their tasty barbecue. Orchids and orchid accessories from Gubler Orchids will be on display and for sale.
Joshua Tree Brewery will donate 100% of the proceeds from the Shari Baby beer to the Brews, Blooms and Barbecue event. The Gubler Family will match the donation from Joshua Tree Brewery. The proceeds from the Orchid sales made during the event will also be donated. Bruce’s Place will be donating a portion of their proceeds made from the event. The proceeds will then be distributed by the Sunset Rotary to the selected non-profits.
Stay within the State rules for the current pandemic and join Joshua Tree Brewery, Gubler Orchids, Bruce’s Place and Yucca Valley Sunset Rotary in keeping the spirit of the Orchid Festival alive to help out some of our local non-profits during this very difficult time.
